BUSHWICK — The owner of popular Williamsburg movie-and-cocktail theater Nitehawk has made a real estate move in Bushwick — putting down $4.75 million for a property at 379 Suydam St. to rent out, according to city records.
Nitehawk Cinema owner Matthew Viragh, as Suydam 379 LLC, bought the 10,000-square-foot, one-story building last week, according to Department of Finance Records.
The property, which is zoned for commercial use, has been vacant and has the potential for a roof deck build out, according to a commercial real estate listing from RKF. It's close to Wyckoff Avenue and the growing nightlife area around the Jefferson Avenue L stop.
But Virgha said the property will not be for another location of Nitehawk Cinema. He's managing the building and is planning to rent it out, possibly for a brewery, he said.
